Göngin (The Tunnel)
Björgvin Sigurðarson / Hallur Örn Árnason
In Reykjavík at the turn of the century, graffiti was everywhere. What graffiti artists consider culture, authorities see as vandalism. But in one underpass tunnel, a city worker named Jói was king and had his own ideas about graffiti.
Göngin is the first feature length documentary film directed by Björgvin Sigurðarson. It was produced by Noumena Films and co-directed by Hallur Örn Árnason.
Göngin was selected for screening at Skjaldborg Film Festival and the 35th edition of Nordisk Panorama. It was shown for the general public at Bío Paradís in Autumn 2024.
